The option that best represents an example of carbon fixation would be the incorporation of CO2 into organic molecules.

Carbon fixation refers to the process of converting atmospheric carbon, mostly in the form of carbon dioxide, to organic molecules in the form of carbohydrates, usually in living organisms.

In living organisms carbon is fixed either via photosynthesis or chemosynthesis.

During the photosynthetic process, inorganic carbon in the form of carbon dioxide combines with water and is converted into carbohydrates in the presence of radiant energy. The process usually happens in green plants.

During chemosynthesis, carbon dioxide reacts with H2S instead of water to arrive at carbohydrates. The process usually happens in chemosynthetic bacteria.

The process of photosynthesis is the best example of carbon fixation.

In the process of photosynthesis, energy from sunlight drives the carbon fixation pathway. photosynthesis process is used by the primary producers such as plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. They contain green pigment named chlorophyll that used the Calvin cycle to fix carbon.

The carbon atom present in the atmosphere in the form of carbondioxide gas fixes by the producers in the form of glucose which have 6 carbon atoms so we can conclude that photosynthesis is the best example of carbon fixation.

Whats the difference from the first and second law of thermodynamics
Aleks [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

the first law is the law of conservation of energy which basically means energy can't be created or destroyed in an isolated system.

the second law is that the entropy always increases in the isolated system. entropy is the measurement of the units thermal energy per unit temp.

The __________________ pulp of the spleen contains lymphocytes and serves to fight pathogens, whereas the __________________ pul
STatiana [176]

Answer:

The given blanks can be filled with white pulp and red pulp.

Explanation:

In the lymphatic system, the spleen is considered as the largest organ. It is situated in the upper left part of the abdominal cavity, the main function of the spleen is to filter blood containing the destructed cells, pathogens like viruses and bacteria, and cellular debris.

The spleen generates and develops the mature immune cells, which possess the tendency of finding and eliminating the pathogens. The white pulp of the spleen comprises the immune cells, that is, the B and T lymphocytes, which help in fighting against the pathogens.

On the other hand, the red pulp of the spleen comprises connective tissue called the cords of Billroth, and various splenic sinusoids, which are filled with blood, providing it a red appearance. Its main function is to filter the blood containing microbes, pathogens, and worn-out or the defective RBCs.
