Presidents are usually looked up to and admired throughout the country they serve. He was elected president because of his military victories, such as the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812. Andrew Jackson was by far one on the most controversial presidents because of his self-focused actions, along with his dictatorial style and tendency to get a job done by any means. Jackson based his decisions upon what he thought would most benefit himself, not the country.

They played the role of an allied power but were still communist so the U.S always had an eye on them.the reason for the partnership to collapse is because of the Russian was trying to take over all of Europe as they took countries back from Germany and making them satellite countries and then we had to start the cold war to get them all freed where the Russia / USSR at the time said that they had A-Bombs just like us so we had to do something and thats when the cold war started. the main goals of the USSR were to take over all the destroyed countries and all of Europe with there satellite countries and themselves but the US's Marshall Plan stopped them form doing so.

Racism had many effects on Imperialism in Africa. Europe had imperial connections with the African countries. These countries were dominated by the British Empire. Racism was the main reason for the Imperialism rule in Africa as they thought they were superior to the natives of African countries.

African people faced many problems like inequality, suffering, physical and mental torture, exploitation of the individuals. This bitter history still has its effects on the present, as there is no unity in these African countries and there are violent interactions among these countries, internally as well as externally.

The ideas of the Enlightenment influenced American colonists like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson because they read the works of Enlightenment thinkers and adopted similar views on politics and society. Political philosophers of the Enlightenment believed that using reason will guide us to the best ways to operate in order to create the most beneficial conditions for society.  This included a conviction that all human beings have certain natural rights which are to be protected and preserved.    The Enlightenment ideal was that individual freedom and equal rights and opportunity for all would be promoted and protected.  Each individual's well-being (life, health, liberty, possessions) should be served by the way government and society are arranged.   The American founding fathers accepted these Enlightenment views and acted on them.

Further detail / example:

John Locke, in his Second Treatise on Civil Government (1690), had expressed the idea of natural rights in the words that follow.  Notice the similarities to what was later stated in the American colonists' <em>Declaration of Independence</em> (1776).
