The poem determines how you are the leader of your own actions and that it's all up to you to make your decisions and learn from your mistakes rather than someone else doing it for you. You are free to decide upon your wishes and make them come true. Nobody will do it for you so you might as well build up the courage and be who YOU want to be, not who others want you to be.
