A flood could damage it by causing erosion which harms soil, a dust storm, could make the soil worse which also meant the ground wasnt very stable if there was dust, a volcano could produce very toxic gases and block sunlight for plants which they need to grow, a forest fire could destroy all plants but the leave the soil more fertile.
