Which line is an example of trochaic tetrameter?
kotykmax [81]

Hey there!

Trochaic tetrameter (try saying that five times fast) is a line of a poem that usually contains about eight syllables that goes in the pattern stressed, unstressed, stressed, unstressed, etc.

But, look at the syllable count for each of the answer options!

A: 10 syllables

B: 8 syllables

C. 10 syllables

D. 10 syllables

So, we immediately see that the correct answer is B, and this fits our stressed, unstressed pattern because you say it like PEter PEter PUMPkin EATer. If you try doing this with the other answer options it sounds really stupid, I tried it and it sounds pretty weird XD

Therefore, the answer is B. Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater.

Have a wonderful day!

how can i answer this question?do you think the age of 35 to be the president of the united states should be lower yes or no
Vlad [161]

Answer:

This is an opinion, so there is no right or wrong. However, here are some pointers:

If you think it should be lower than 35, talk about how being younger could possibly give more opportunities, make the country more modern, etc.

If you think it should be higher than 35, talk about how being older can make sure the president is well-established and experienced, can make the country more stable, etc.

Hope this helps.

Snowcat [4.5K]
From the excerpt from Hard Times by Charles Dickens, the lines that include the images of the horrors of industrialization are letters A, B and C.

A. it was a town of unnatural red and black like the painted face of a savage.
It shows that the area is painted red and black , the original color was red and it symbolizes the fertility and naturalness of the original civilization until industrialization came in. The black ones represent the massive dirt and grime that the industries emitted.

B. serpents of smoke trailed themselves for ever and ever, and never got uncoiled.
Serpents of smoke means the trail of black smoke emitted from the factories of the industries. The production of these gases indicates that the industries are still producing something regardless of the effect it has on the environment and on the people.

C. black canal in it, and a river that ran purple with ill-smelling dye.
The black canal represents the waste that the industry is producing and the smell that is stagnant for years as no one will try to clean the polluted water.
