Emotionally intelligent technology can only take us so far. It would be a great way to connect more with AI, but for it to <em>replace </em>is unlikely. Human connection is something that is almost impossible to replicate, as it is connected to the neurons and dopamine in our brain. Emotionally intelligent technology could certainly take us another step into AI and human intelligence, but to completely replace human connection is a near impossible feat, as technology is far different to a humans mind. Emotion is also a hard thing to replicate into technology.
