Hemophilia is a hereditary bleeding disorder that primarily affects males.

This is because hemophilia is a mutation that occurs on the X chromosome.

All males have the XY chromosome while females have two X chromosomes

which is XX.

Males having only one X chromosome means that no substitution can occur

during reproduction unlike the females which have two X chromosomes

which can be substituted if one is mutated. This is why hemophilia occurs far

more common in males.

Answer:

It is a mutation to the X-chromosome.

Explanation:

Males are more effected by conditions linked the the X-chromosome. Females have an extra X-chromosome, so if the mutation happens they have a backup. Males are easier targets. (PLEASE DON"T COPY WORD FOR WORD)

Anni [7]

Answer:

a virus, because it requires a host cell to reproduce

Explanation:

 • a bacterium, because it is contagious
 • a fungus, because it infects livestock
 • a protist, because it is microscopic
 • a virus, because it requires a host cell to reproduce

The correct answer would be a virus because a virus is the only microbe that cannot reproduce on its own without a host. A virus utilizes the genetic mechanism of its host to reproduce either lytically or lysogenically.

In lytic cycle, the virus utilizes the genome system of the host to produce more viruses that eventually leave or lyses the host to become independent viral particles, killing the host in the process.

In lysogenic cycle, the virus inserts its genome into that of the host and uses the host's replication machinery to replicate its genome. The virus then waits for the defense mechanism of the host to become weakened before multiplying and lysing the host.

What role do enzymes play in chemical reaction that occur in your body
andrew-mc [135]

Answer AND Explanation:

There is a large number of biochemical reactions taking place in a cell at any given time. Enzymes being biological catalysts control these reactions and regulate them so that they proceed at a pace that is suitable for sustaining life. Thus enzymes regulate cellular activities. Enzymes also ensure that only the required reactions take place and progress to their appropriate extent.
