You have probably heard of Albert Einstein's famous formula: E = mc2. While this is an important formula that you may use at some point in your academic career, it is not a formula you apply in your daily life. Describe some common or unique formulas that you use in your life.

D = S x T  (Distance = Speed x Time)
S = D / T
T = D / S

When I need to drive to a neighboring state for my job, I look on maps
and find out how far away my destination is, and then use this formula
to calculate how long it will take me to get there, how fast I need to drive
in order to get there in the amount of time I have, how far I can get in the
time I have if I drive only at safe and legal speed, and what time I need to
head back in order to get home in time for dinner..

F = 1.8C + 32
C = 0.55 (F - 32)

These are the formulas to convert between Fahrenheit and Celsius expressions
of temperature.  I use them when I'm discussing the weather with my daughter
in Israel, or with my customers almost anywhere outside the USA.

F = M x G
Weight = Mass x Gravity

This formula deals with the relationship between mass and weight.  It's
used when you need to calculate the weight of some particular mass on
some particular planet.  I use it almost every day, when I'm answering
questions in the Physics department on Brainly, and trying to explain
my answers.
