What event involved the Maine motivates the United States to go to war with Spain
ANTONII [103]

On February the 15th, in 1898, The battleship Maine was sunk by the Spanish crown, in Havana Harbor. This was the reason why the United States declared war on Spain in May of the same year.

When the war ended, in December of 1898, Spain had lost all its control over the territories of Puerto Rico, Cuba, The Philippines Islands, and Guam, with some smaller islands as well.

The War ended with the ratification of the Treaty of Paris, that was signed  on December 10th, 1898.

During the 1800s, these developments contributed to environmental improvements in Eastern Europe
PolarNik [594]

In order to mend the environmental issues in Eastern Europe, the Government must take steps to create mindfulness in the general public regarding the environmental concerns. Water pollution is considered to be the major factor of environmental concern in Eastern Europe.

Development of international policy would also pacify the concern as the Government may seek aid and assistance from other countries. The Government can collect data and enforce policies that safeguard the environmental resources from getting washed-out or damaged.

Danube River is considered to be important for Eastern Europe because it connects the Eastern Europe and Central Europe. Since 1800, this river route is used for trade and transportation.
