The main benefit of using "truss" is that load is applied only on the two joints. This makes it physically stronger, easier to install and cost-effective. Suspension structure, on the other hand, allows the transmission of loads to the ground. This is made possible with the help of a number of cables.

3. What do these two types of construction have in common?

Both of the "truss" and "suspension" are cost-effective for they only need a few amount of supplies. Both of them carry loads by distributing them to other places. The weight of a roof in a "truss" is being distributed to the other walls while the weight of the roof in a "suspension" is being distributed to cable going down the ground.
