The construction of the British canal system was key in the industrialization of these territories. However, in comparison to the canals up north of the UK, there were some canals that were not connected to the system in the south. The purpose of them was to serve the local industries in England and Wales. However, these were largely unutilized due to the preference from people towards other methods of transportation.

the purpose and benefits of building a canal are:

1. Transportation. with travel channels in moving, goods will be faster and easier.

2. Irrigation. Canals can also be used to drain water into agricultural areas making it easier for farmers to find water supplies.

3. Flood control. Canals can also control flooding so that water discharge in rivers can be controlled by canals.

4. Tourist Destinations. Canals can also switch functions as a tourist attraction.

Further Explanation

Canal and navigation are man-made water channels. In the local language, both are called "canal". The main difference between the two is that navigation is parallel to the river and shares drainage spots, while canals cut across drainage sharing points.

Made since thousands of years ago

Canals are man-made waterways that are made for various purposes that help human life. Canals have been made by humans for thousands of years. The oldest canal was found in Mesopotamia, around 4000 BC. Although the shape of the canal is almost unchanged, canal development technology is increasingly developing.

The aims and benefits of building a canal are:

1. Transportation. Canals can be traversed by ships and boats to carry people and goods. Canals for transportation are usually connected with rivers, lakes or the sea.

2. Irrigation. Canals are made to irrigate agricultural land. Water from this canal is channeled to agricultural land through smaller channels. This canal has a large size and can be traversed by a boat, there is also a small one.

3. Flood control. Canals can be channels for removing excess water, so river water does not overflow and the surface is not flooded.

4. Tourist Destinations. Several canals in the world become tourist destinations and city icons. Thousands of canals in Venice become a tourist destination that can be enjoyed from the gondola.

Under the Articles of Confederation, Virginia would have one, and Delaware would have one.

As the Article of Confederation illustrates, every state acquires one vote, despite its intensity, so that the authority each state endures are equal. It also acknowledged an unfastened association of the states, which forthwith determined to be vulnerable, and that a distinct plan had to be pulled out.

Further Explanation:

One of the significant problems representatives brought to the Convention had to determine the vote share each state should possess. Under the Articles of Confederation, every state had one vote, notwithstanding of size. At the Convention, every state had the individual vote.

Some delegates, especially those from more populous states, consider it unethical for every state to have an identical number of votes. They believed the states’ votes should be apportioned according to people, with the more populated states possessing more authority than the less populated states. That way, the people inside the states would be similar. The subsequent statistics manifest the colonies’ having differing communities.
