This period in the art history denotes the apogee of the visual arts in Italian Renaissance. Mannerism also developed during the period of High Renaissance. The High Renaissance art is termed  as “High” as in this period the artistic aims as well goals of all the Renaissance reached the greatest application. The High Renaissance art is sometimes characterized by the references to the classical art and the delicate application of the developments from that of Early Renaissance.
