Majority ruling makes it difficult for minorities to gain civil rights. Such as how people of color were minorities and even though they’ve lived in America since before the white man had arrived, in the grand scheme of American history, have only just gained their basic rights. Whereas white people have always had those liberties. Just because someone is a minority does not mean that their voice isn’t equal. This stretches to sexuality, gender, and many other topics, not just race.
