I have a few ideas:

<u>If</u><u> </u><u>you</u><u> </u><u>do</u><u> </u><u>kill</u><u> </u><u>him</u><u> </u><u>off</u><u>:</u>

  • You can kill him off, but the guy who made him immortal can change his mind and revive him.
  • He could just die, and that could be the end of it.
  • Alternatively, the guy who made him immortal can remove the ability without killing him.

<u>If you don't kill him off:</u>

  • He could be shown a new purpose in life, where he can use his powers of immortality for the good of humanity.
  • The immortality can be removed, but there will be a major cost, and the guy might soon regret giving up his abilities.
  • You can have the guy who made him immortal, refuse to do anything about the situation.
  • Or you can also make him "agree to do it" but never ends up doing it. (This can cause more interesting things to occur between, both the immortal guy and the guy who made him immortal. Such as the guy finding ways to cope with his immortality, the immortal guy loathing the guy who turned him immortal, and even the guy who made the other one immortal, promising "to make things right" even though he's not planning to keep his word.)

One of the most common problems today that is killing people, all over the world, is smoking. Many people start this horrible habit because of stress, personal issues and high blood pressure. Some people began showing off or some people wanted to enjoy it. One cigarette can result in smoking others, which can lead to major addiction. When someone smokes a cigarette they are not only hurting themselves but others around them. Smoking does many horrible things to the human body that most people are not aware of. Almost everyone knows that smoking causes cancer and heart disease; that it can shorten your life by 10 years or more; and that the habit can cost a smoker thousands of dirhams a year. So, why people are still smoking? The answer is obviously, addiction. Smoking is a hard habit to break because tobacco contains nicotine, which is highly addictive. teenagers smoke because they want to be fit teens see their friends smoke and they think it makes them look cool or independent plus them. Many teenagers smoke because of depression and stress, but they should know by now that smoking kills you from the inside the are many ways to solve problems like those but one of them is NOT smoking. It's just madness and it will give you cancer. People like teenagers don’t think. SMOKING is BAD for YOU!!!!!!

"President Cleveland: Where are you?" is a story written by author Robert Cormier and it was published in 1998. Based on the historical event of the Panic of 1893 and the presidency of Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States, who was elected twice (1885-1889 and 1893 to 1897), this author develops a story that in appearance has absolutely nothing to do with the historical event, but in truth derives its essence from history. This short story talks about a young boy, Jerry, who, during the presidency of Cleveland, as mentioned by the text itself, faces a hard decision; to spend his hard-earned money on buying chewing gum, or buying a present for his father. In the end, Jerry regrets his decision of not buying a present for his dad and is forced to mature through the consequences of his actions. The importance of the lesson learned by Jerry is underlined by the mention of the text of the hard economic times faced by people during the Panic of 1893 and he has to choose between what he wants, which is to help his siblings get the present, or spend the money as he wishes.

There are other historical novels in which authors do the same thing; they use historical facts and events to either give their story credibility or reinforce the ideas and messages set forth (as is the case of this story). One such example is "Grapes of Wrath" by Jonh Steinbeck, who not only uses historical data to create his fictional story, but the entire structure depends on these historical facts to lend credibility to it. Without this historical data, neither "President Cleveland, where are you", nor "Grapes of Wrath" would be able to deliver their message, which are grounded in history itself. However, because the purpose of these authors is not to make their stories a history guide, they just use certain data and intersperse it into their work, without making it the focus of the story or the main purpose.
