This can open up new areas to explore if we change those assumptions. For example, both of our proofs that the measures of the a

ngles of a triangle sum to 180 degree were based on rigid transformations that take lines to parallel lines. If our assumptions about parallel lines changed, so would the consequences about triangle angle sums. Any study of geometry where these assumptions change is called non-Euclidean geometry. In some non-Euclidean geometries, lines in the same direction may intersect while in others they do not. In spherical geometry, which studies curved surfaces like the surface of Earth, lines in the same direction always intersect. This has amazing consequences for triangles. Imagine a triangle connecting the north pole, a point on the equator, and a second point on the equator one quarter of the way around Earth from the first. What is the sum of the angles in this triangle?

Help me to answer this question...
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

m=45

RPS =45

Step-by-step explanation:

the sum of angles of triangle=180 degrees

90+45+m=180

triangle PST is the image of triangle PQR

m=180-135=45 degrees

Angle RPS = 45 degrees ( two angles are adjacent when they have common side, ad do not overlap )

The product of 3p and q - 3.
shusha [124]
The product of 3p and q-3 would be put in to equation form like this: 3p(q-3)

To find your answer. You have to distribute the 3p to by individually multiplying it by q and -3

It should now look like this: 3pq -9p

So your answer is: 3pq -9p

Quadrilateral ABCD is reflected over line y as shown, resulting in quadrilateral TURS. If AD 5 in., AB = 7 in., DC = 4 in., and
inn [45]

Answer:  7 inches.

Given that there was a quadrilateral ABCD and it was reflected over a line y

Hence preimage = ABCD and image = TURS

When reflected we have new position of A = T

new position of B =U

new position of C = R and

new position of D = S

By transformation properties, for reflection the scale factor is 1 and hence AB will have the same length as TU

Since AB = 7 inches, TU = 7 inches.

Note:

A reflection in the coordinate plane is just like a reflection in a mirror. Any point or shape can be reflected across the x-axis, the y-axis, or any other line, invisible or visible. This line, about which the object is reflected, is called the “line of symmetry.”  Here we have line of symmetry as line y.
