Answer:

I don't have any favorites. There is a reason for this, i don't read a lot of books but when i do, i usually like a mashup of different types of text styles. I guess i do have a favorite of a mashup. When i do read i usually pick a book that has an argument between different characters, a type of fiction memoir? And autobiography.

This mashup usually leads up to Wonder which is one of my all-time favorites. But there is another one i like and it is Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The only thing about that one is that doesn't have the whole autobiography part.

I like these styles because most of the books that i read have either funny traits or intense traits which, i love both of them.

Read this passage from Walden by Henry David Thoreau.
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

D. Thoreau regrets conforming to the expectations of others.

Explanation:

The figure of speech he is using is irony - he says that he behaved so well even though he considers that behavior to be bad. His neighbors, or rather the people around him, behave a certain way that Thoreau doesn't really approve of. However, in order to conform, or fit in with the rest of the society, he behaved in the same way they did, which made him disgusted and want to repent after having betrayed his ideals.

 • An American Realist

American Realism is a genre of writing that depicts life evens exactly as they are. The author uses very vivid pictures to illustrate events.

It is different from American Romanticism that clouds the true nature of events and focuses on mysteries. Romanticism also focuses on imagination and sensation.

The use of adjectives like pale, a sky that was faint, etc, paints events as they really are.
