Answer:

I'm going to fill in the blanks with what I believe the correct answers are.

Last weekend, we went to the mall. The sales looked fair, and Ezra and I headed to the discount store. Ezra and I diverged once we got in the store because he was looking for socks and I was in search of a notebook. It was obvious that shoppers had been here. The aisles were littered with clothing. Walking through the store was like struggling through the undergrowth of a jungle. I found the notebook and made my claim on it before any other shoppers cloud grab it. After searching through the store, I finally found Ezra who had trodden through the store with no success in finding socks. We left the store - Ezra was discouraged, and has vowed that in the weeks hence he would only wear sandals.

Word definitions:

Fair: Decent, or good

Diverge: To split apart of veer away

Undergrowth: the thick shrubs and bushes in a forest or jungle

Claim: to own (ex: claiming a parking spot as your own)

Trodden: To walk

Hence: In the future (ex: "From here on hence forth!")

25. Sc. 2, Lines 325–328: Analyze this passage and identify any lines written in perfect iambic pentameter. Why do other lines n
madreJ [45]

Answer: Because they don't have five feet in the line or don't have an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed one like iambic pentameter requires.

Explanation: In poetry, an Iambic Pentameter is a metrical speech that has 5 feet on every line. A foot is a pair of syllables in which there is an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed one.

The lines "As wicked dew as e'er my mother brushed" and "With raven’s feather from unwholesome fen" follow the rules of iambic pentameter, while the line "Upon thy wicked dam, come forth!" has just four feet, and the line "Drop on you both! A southwest blow on ye" doesn't have the unstressed syllables at first.
