I'm writing a story about an immortal person who regrets the fact that they became immortal. I'm trying to think of a couple thi
ngs: 1 - Why are the immortal? What happened to make them immortal?
2. What is the inciting incident? If they have been immortal for a while, what specific thing happened to make them regret their choice to be immortal?
As an author myself, and a reader i'm answering based on what id love to read so i'm sorry if it isn't good enough, to answer your first question
1. they are immortal because the character wished from a falling star, thinking that it wouldn't happen.
2. their families slowly died and he or she have to switch identities so no one would realize that he or she is immortal. they become depressed to the point where they try to stay up to see another falling star to make a wish again that they are not immortal but he or she never saw one.
to make it a happy ending the character saw a falling star and wished to follow their loved one in the afterlife.
A parlour is usually a sitting room or a small living room that is located between the entrance and the main part of the house or building. In some instances, a parlour can be larger and serve as a sort of tea room.
Inviting a guest into the parlour was a kind gesture and meant that they were officially a guest in the house.
