Answer:

When war broke out in Europe in 1914 President Wilson declared that the United States would follow a strict policy of neutrality. This was a product of a longstanding idea at the heart of American foreign policy that the United States would not entangle itself with alliances with other nations. Put simply the United States did not concern itself with events and alliances in Europe and thus stayed out of the war. Wilson was firmly opposed to war, and believed that the key aim was to ensure peace, not only for the United States but across the world. To that end he sent a leading aide, Colonel House, to Europe in the autumn of 1914 in an attempt to broker a peace deal.

Factories operating twenty-four hours out of the day was due to the revolutionary invention of the ____________.
Feliz [49]

Answer:

steel

Explanation:

The industrial revolution created the necessary conditions for the mechanization of production, primarily spinning, weaving, metal, and woodworking. It was a transition from the use of individual machines to an “automatic system of machines” in which conscious functions of control remain behind the person: the person becomes next to the production process as its controller and regulator. The most important inventions of this period were the inventions by the Russian mechanic I. I. Polzunov of the automatic power regulator for the steam boiler (1765) and the English inventor J. Watt who invented the centrifugal speed controller of the steam engine (1784), which later became the main source of mechanical energy for driving machines and mechanisms.

What is the presidents purpose in the state of the union speech
Anon25 [30]
Why does the President give a State of the Union speech?
The Constitution (Article 2, Section 3) requires him to "from time to time give to the Congress information on the state of the Union". This does not have to be an annual event but has become so by custom and it does not have to be a speech,
but that is what people expect now and it gets great press coverage so it has become a political necessity.
