A little embarrassed by this, but I'm having trouble collecting my thoughts this morning and I'd appreciate some help. The example that was mentioned in my lesson was "We trust Twain as the narrator because he mixes details with humor to make his point."

    The civil rights movement took place in the 1960s and the 1950s.  Martin Luther King Jr. led the civil rights movement with his famous speech, "I have a dream!".  It was a struggle for African Americans due to the segregation laws.  He was willing to risk his safety because he believed that everyone was equal.  Rosa parks was also involved when she refused to give up her seat to a white woman.  The Civil Rights Movement changed how whites and blacks can use the same restroom, stores, and attend the same schools.  It made the United states not be so harsh on African American people by realizing they are people too!
