Answer:

1) (had) you talked

b) saw

2) ironed

b) washed

3) watched

b) went

4) shined

b) woke up

5) pulled

b) took

Explanation:

Every verb has many tenses, and (based on Latin origin) they include present, perfect, imperfect, pluperfect, future perfect, and future. Apart from a few oddities, verbs can be changed into the perfect tense by simply removing the last letter if it is a vowel, and adding -ed to the end.

N.B. For question one there seemed to be an irregularity in grammar, hence the (had). There additionally seemed to be a problem with the last half, as if the question should have been in the present tense.

Hope it helps :) and let me know if you want me to elaborate.

William Wordsworth once said that 'Ordinary things should be presented to the mind in an unusual way'. How far is this statement
zubka84 [21]

In Nelson Mandela, long walk to freedom, he says that those who oppress others must also be freed from the bonds of hatred. He says that the oppressor is not free since he is also bound by the chains of hatred, just like the downtrodden. Therefore, he justifies Wordsworth's statement.

On July 18, 1918, in the Eastern Cape town of Mvezo, Rolihlahla Mandela was born into the Madiba family. His mother was Nonqaphi Nosekeni, and his father was Nkosi Mphakanyiswa Gadla Mandela, chief advisor to Jongintaba Dalindyebo, the acting king of the Thembu people. Twelve-year-old Rolihlahla lost his father in 1930, and Jongintaba at the Great Place in Mqhekezweni took him in as a ward.

Nelson Mandela was steadfast in his commitment to democracy, equality, and education. He never returned racism with racism despite the appalling provocation. His life serves as an example for everyone who is oppressed and disadvantaged as well as everyone who opposes oppression and hardship.

On December 5th, he passed away at his Johannesburg home.

List and explain the positive and negative qualities seen in Lady Macbeth
.
Vsevolod [243]
There are many sides to Lady Macbeth, and although there are many more negative than positive qualities, I will try to list some of them nevertheless.
Negative: she is ruthless, and stops at nothing to achieve her goals. She wants her husband to become king, and isn't afraid to be an accomplice in a murder to get what she wants. She is manipulative, constantly controlling her husband to do what she wants him to do.
Positive: I'd say that in the end, one of her positive qualities is her guilt - she feels guilty for all the murders she took part in, which shows that she is human after all, with conscience. I guess that her ambition could be both a positive and negative quality, because she is very strong and powerful.
