I would say to use all the parties involved to shape their experience from a different perspective. The way you shape your perspective can have a big impact on how your reader sees your all-inclusive and overall plot. The author should take part as one of the characters and you should show WHAT happened and you need to establish your perspective uniquely. A key thing is that you want your reader to take away from what you are writing, and the tone of voice you are using. Also for the problem, why was it a problem? Who helped solve or help the problem?
