English

Answer: a. The women in the background are complementing their verbal communication with their body language.

When we look at the picture, we get a strong feeling that the women in the background are talking about the woman in front, most likely in order to "gossip." The reason why we can understand this without knowing the words they are uttering is because of their body language. The women are leaning towards each other, with their hands over their mouths so they are less likely to be heard. Moreover, the listener appears to be surprised. These are all ways in which the two women complement their verbal communication with their body language.

What words or phrases does the poet use to describe daffodils as a show
lana [24]

Answer:

He uses, 'Beside the lake, beneath the trees', and 'beside' to give the impression that no matter where he looks he can see daffodils. The simile compares the flowers to a sparkling and endless constellation of stars in the galaxy which is a powerful image as the milky way is a significant part of the world's solar system and makes the flowers seem important/stars light up the night/these flowers light up the path from winter to spring Enjambment adds to the idea of endlessness and infinity - like the flowers go on for ever.

May I use "at all" in positive statements?
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

Yes but don't

Explanation:

It completely depends on what you are saying. "At all" is usually used in negative statements like "you can't cook 'at all'" but it is possible to use it positively. However I would play it safe and just not use it when talking positive.
