Does Truman present American policy as offensive or defensive what words or phrases just trimming used to repair policy this way
Sedbober [7]
Truman’s policy was more defensive than offensive. This can be seen in the Marshall Plan where he used economics to rebuild war-torn as an incentive to promote democracy. Though he would not use military force, He vowed to support countries against communism and this was seen in the establishment of NATO as a deterrent to Russian expansion.

I hope this helps!
Good day to you.

Why didn’t treaty of Versailles and League of Nations create a lasting peace
KonstantinChe [14]
The Treaty of Versailles didn't lay the foundations for lasting peace because they started off bad. They humiliated Germany and used the war guilt clause. ... The Americans opposed the Treaty of Versailles because it was not good for the economy and "pulled down all of Europe" which can negatively affect the US, too.

What irony do you see in the situations described in “When the Negro was in Vogue”.
Likurg_2 [28]
“When the Negro was in Vogue” describes a period in the history of the United States which generally accepted racism against African Americans.

For many, it had become a way of life. While not slaves, African Americans were considered second-class citizens who could not dine in the same restaurants as whites and neither could they go the same school or even take the same part of the bus.

African Americans were not given a lot of opportunities to climb up the economic ladder and yet, in all this, the Entertainment clubs in Harlem were the most popular in the country which even the white population attended and enjoyed.

How does the U.S. Department of Agriculture use GIS in a best practice scenario?
bija089 [108]

GIS can analyze soil data combined with historical farming practices to determine what are the best crops to plant, where they should go, and how to maintain soil nutrition levels to best benefit the plants.

Agricultural Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) can map not only topography and crop health, but help solve wider economic issues in municipalities and urban centers that may stem from rural farming practices. Farmers in the States are able to access the GIS data on their lands; a program called CropScape and another called VegScape allows farmers to interact with the data without having a GIS themselves
