Midpoint formula : (x1 + x2) / 2, (y1 + y2) / 2
(-6,-6)...x1 = -6 and y1 = -6
(x,y)...x2 = x and y2 = y
now we sub
(-6 + x) / 2 , (-6 + y) / 2

doing the x term first...
(-6 + x) / 2 = 1...I set it equal to 1 because that is the x in the midpoint
-6 + x = 1 * 2
-6 + x = 2
x = 2 + 6
x = 8

doing the y term
(-6 + y) / 2 = 2...I set this equal to 2 because that is the y in the midpoint
-6 + y = 2 * 2
-6 + y = 4
y = 4 + 6
y = 10

The answer to this one is definitely A. This is because M (1, 2) is the midpoint between A and N. A is 7 units left and 8 units down of M. To find N, you must add 7 units to the right and 8 units up. That will give you (8, 10). The answer is A: (8, 10).

An electric sale gives a reading equal to the true weight plus a random error that isnormally distributed with mean 0 and standa
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

a) 95% confidence interval estimate of the true weight is (3.026, 3.274)

b) 99% confidence interval estimate of the true weight is (2.944, 3.356)

Step-by-step explanation:

Confidence Interval can be calculated using M±ME where

  • M is the mean of five successive weightings (3.150)
  • ME is the margin of error from the mean

And margin of error (ME) can be calculated using the formula

ME=\frac{t*s}{\sqrt{N} } where

  • t is the corresponding statistic in the given confidence level and degrees of freedom(t-score)
  • s is the standard deviation of the random error (0.1)
  • N is the sample size (5)

Using the numbers 95% confidence interval estimate of the true weight is:

3.150±\frac{2.776*0.1}{\sqrt{5} }≈3.150±0.124

And 99% confidence interval estimate of the true weight is:

3.150±\frac{4.604*0.1}{\sqrt{5} }≈3.150±0.206

To find the best deal find the unit rate.
City express unit rate for pants per dollars is 1 pair : $20.33
Denim Planet unit rate is 1 pair : $36.50
New Threads Unit rate is 1 pair : $27.50
So City Express is the best deal

An exponential function f(x) = ab^xpasses through the points (0, 2) and (3, 54). What are the values of a and
Vsevolod [243]

Answers:

a = 2

b = 3

=======================================================

Explanation:

Plug in x = 0 and y = 2 to find that

y = a*b^x

2 = a*b^0

2 = a*1

2 = a

a = 2

Then plug in x = 3 and y = 54 to determine the value of b

y = a*b^x

y = 2*b^x

54 = 2*b^3

2b^3 = 54

b^3 = 54/2

b^3 = 27

b = (27)^(1/3)

b = 3

So we have y = a*b^x update to y = 2*3^x
