Answer:Threatening someone, causing fear in their mind, to get things done that the person is not comfortable with is called bullying. A bully typically has an overbearing personality causing harm intentionally to a person who is weak or timid. The person who is bullied develops low self-esteem and anxiety and loses confidence. Certain traits of a person can suggest that he or she could be a victim of bullying.

Generally, their social skills are underdeveloped and hence have few or no friends. They are non-assertive and shy. They are often left out in parties or gatherings. Handicap of any form and weak and small physical stature too could be reasons for a victim to get repeatedly bullied. These victims often go through depression and would try to avoid those environments where they usually are bullied.

Bullying in schools is a common phenomenon. Some consider bullying as an unavoidable menace during childhood. However, the communities have come up with effective strategies to counter this menace.

It is paramount to create awareness among the students about the existence of bullying, the signs of bullying and the consequences of bullying to save a bully from becoming a criminal and spare a victim from long-lasting hurt. Parents’ participation should be made integral in the anti-bullying programs.

Bullying is an omnipresent threat. It extends beyond the school premises. Bullying has its presence at homes, work environments, sports and different industries. Cyberbullying, using technology to harass or embarrass, is also on the rise. Considering the damage, that bullying can cause to both the perpetrator and the victim, identification and prompt intervention is the need of the hour to curb this menace

Answer:

Since you were probably very young, maybe even in the beginning of elementary, you've heard of bullying. You've probably even experienced it. whether you were the bully, or the victim, you've most likely had your own encounter with the topic.

Bullying is not something that should be tolerated ever. Under no circumstances should someone undergo any sort of physical or mental harm. Bullying can have a serious toll on an individuals mental health and overall well being. For example, people who have been bullied have a higher risk of being prone to suicidal thoughts/actions at a younger age.

Being the victim is no fun. Having someone constantly poking fun at you is overbearing and miserable. If you are a victim of bullying, seek help as soon as possible without putting yourself in harms way, if you are worried about the bullying getting worse, get your parental figures involved.

Being the bully isn't the best feeling in the world either, typically speaking, someone bullies another individual because they have insecurities or experience at home issues. If you know of someone who tends to bully others, talk to them about it, or bring a mediator into the situation. Always get someone involved to keep yourself out of danger.

In conclusion, no matter who it is, or if you think they deserve it, don't let bullying go unoticed, speak up, when it all boils down, someone's life might rest in your hands.

He
____ [38]

Answer:

In middle school, I didn't have many friends. I had low self esteem and sat in the back of the class hoping that I wouldn't have to talk to anyone. I do, however, recall a few high points of middle school.

One day, one of my friends was trying to get her backpack out of her locker but was unable to do so. I did the only logical thing, I helped her. I grabbed ahold of the backpack and pulled as hard as I could. I heard a sound and looked down. It was then that I realized I had not pulled the backpack out of the locker, but I had pulled the locker's frame off of the locker.

My friend and I laughed so hard. The following week, an overly-obese man could be seen repairing poor Daisy's locker. A couple screws and the locker was back to normal. Disappointing, really, how all of that hard work could be erased with a gigantic hombre holding a hammer and two screws in a ham-like hand.

What tone does the narrator convey in the opening lines of the story? How does this make the reader feel?
Tcecarenko [31]
