Self-confidence is an entrepreneurial attribute represented in the text shown in the question above.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • Entrepreneurial attributes are elements that must be present in an entrepreneur, to promote the success of the company and the team.
  • One of the most important attributes is self-confidence.
  • This attribute shows that a team of entrepreneurs must have confidence in formulating ideas and applying them in a business environment.

This confidence is generated through the study of the idea, where all the elements that compose it are analyzed, reaching an objective conclusion, which will be followed, even if other people doubt it.

Evaluate the culture presented in the story. What details do you notice that show this story is not taking place in the United S
Viktor [21]

<u>Answer:</u>

<em><u>Descriptions of the setting, particularly the names of the streets, indicate "Araby" does not take place in the United States.*</u></em>

<em><u></u></em>

<em>*See explanation for a more in-depth answer</em>

<u />

<u>Explanation:</u>

There are subtle ‘hints,’ or details, presented throughout the story that show “Araby” is not taking place in the United States. For starters, the story states these two specific street names: “North Richmond Street” and “Buckingham Street.” Now, these are two street names that America does have. There is a Richmond Street located in Palmdale, California and there is a Buckingham Street in Fullerton, California. Based on this information alone one might (unknowingly & incorrectly) assume that the story is taking place in America. However, there is one sentence in the story that reveals this story could not have taken place in the United States. Read the first sentence of “Araby”:

<em>“North Richmond Street, being blind, was a quiet street except at the hour when the Christian Brothers' School set the boys free.”</em>

<em />

According to this sentence, there is a Christian Brothers’ School located on North Richmond Street. Only one place in the world has an all boys school located on a street called North Richmond. That place is Dublin, Ireland. Therefore, based on the gathered information, it is safe to say that this story takes place in Dublin, Ireland; not the United States.

<em>FUN FACT:</em>

<em>The Christian Brothers’ School on North Richmond Street changed its name to O’Connell Secondary School.</em>

Read the excerpt from Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy.
yKpoI14uk [10]

The above excerpt highlights the conflict between:

the Phippsburg townspeople, who do not think much of Malaga Island, and Turner, who comes to love the island.

The story  “Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy” is about the life of a young white boy. He witnesses a change in his life when he meets a black American girl of his same age. The story has been inspired by historical situations and events. The theme of the story revolves around freedom and imprisonment.  Since Tuner was the son of the minister, he was expected to maintain the decorum because of which he has to avoid his youthful and jolly nature. At the end of the story Reverend  sides with the Phippsburg townspeople against the people of Malaga Island as the Reverend comes to know that Turner had went to the Island with Lizzie.
