3.The implications of the case were important and widespread.

The Supreme Court hears cases that address an issue with the Constitution or Federal law. They take cases that have the widest impact on the people of the United States. While the case was about race relations and did require government intervention, the intervention was needed at both the state and federal level. These characteristics made the case important and widespread. While the public schools in the South lagged behind other regions, that was not enough of a reason for the Supreme Court to hear the case. Also, influential individuals should have no bearing on whether or not a case is heard.

How would you describe Rip Van Wrinkle mental state
hram777 [196]

Answer: Social anxiety, disturbances, hyperphagia, and more.

Explanation:

The story about Rip Van Winkle is following the man who fell asleep as a young man and he woked up decades later as an old man with a beard.

It is referring to that time flies and that people can spend their time more preciously.

 • If we are talking about his condition, Rip Van Wrinkle is also synonymous with social anxiety and people who have intermittent hypersomnolence, hypersexuality, hyperphagia, and behavioral disturbances. They are the ones who will rather stay at home in bed and escape from all the problems and from all the people just because they are feeling safe in their comfort zone where nothing is happening and they are feeling safe because there is no possibility that something bad will happen.

Which statement provides the BEST example of a claim that would work for a comparative essay?
Sati [7]

"Television news coverage of the Iraq War emphasized dramatic and extreme acts of violence, while the articles in print magazines emphasized the difficulties of daily life in Iraq" (D) is the best comparative essay statement for the following reasons:

 • it distinctly announces the two elements which are going to be compared in the text, unlike statement C) for example, and shows how they differ from each other;
 • it makes it clear what the subject of the essay is (the situation in Iraq during the war);
 • it is factual and not based on opinion, unlike statement A) for example.
