The future worth of a current amount that has a compound interest can be calculated through the equation,

                              F = P x (1 + r)^n

Where P is the present worth, F is the future worth, r is the rate and n is the number of years. Substituting the known values to the equation,

                             F = ($2,265)(1 + 0.05)^2 = $2,497.163

Thus, the amount that Hasani will pay for his second year is approximately $2,497.163.

What do you think the value and possible problems are of intelligence testing? How do you feel these tests should be used?
velikii [3]

Answers with Explanations:

1. What do you think the value and possible problems are of intelligence testing?

Intelligence Testing is one of the oldest psychological tests being conducted in order to know a person's intellectual skill (reasoning, judging and comprehending).

For me, intelligence testing is a valuable tool which tells whether a person is capable of competing in a particular domain, according to his genes and his environment. One possible problem of intelligence testing is the administration of the test and how the results will be interpreted. It is very important to have a highly trained individual who will be interpreting such results, considering the several factors affecting the test takers.

2. How do you feel these tests should be used?

I feel that the intelligence test should be continuously used in vocational settings or settings that are related to schooling, occupation and employment. It should also be used in the clinical setting, especially if a person needs to be checked for mental incapacity. It is a very helpful tool, provided that the person evaluating the result has a mastery of this field.

3. If you were a parent, would you want your child to have an IQ test? Why or why not?

Definitely yes. It has been a classical tool which has been used for many years, so I would definitely want my child to take an IQ test. I'd like to know her capability, whether she is suitable to go to a particular school or not. I wouldn't want to push her to enroll, if her mental abilities cannot cope with the school's standard. As a parent, it is my responsibility to assist her all throughout her educational experience.
