To change most of the verbs in the sentences above, all we have to do is look for the verb "to be" and see what word accompanies it.
Then, we substitute the verb "to be" and that word by an equivalent verb, which will make it stronger.
For example:
- "is the supervisor" -> supervises
- "was the initiator" -> initiated
- "is responsible for conducting" -> conducts
In other cases, the verb "to be" will not be present, but the verb is still considered weak.
Take sentence 8 as an example. The use of "has" is not as strong as "owns".
