HELP

Read the paragraph from a student’s rhetorical analysis essay. At the end of his address on Syria, Obama encourages all Americans to support military action against Syria. He acknowledges America’s role as "the anchor of global security." He then asks people of all political parties, "members of Congress and those of you watching at home tonight," to consider the disturbing images from Syria. He uses a rhetorical question to ask what would happen if Americans chose to ignore this horrible violation of international law. Which sentence would best add commentary to this paragraph? Obama voices his belief that the United States can stop atrocities without incurring too much risk. Obama ends the speech by stating that the US needs to respond to the violation of international law to maintain power. By reminding the audience that the US has had a central role in keeping the world secure, Obama builds support to maintain peace. By naming the different groups he hopes to persuade, Obama builds pressure to support military action and create a unified response to the atrocities.

Read this paragraph.
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

The paragraph has a first-person narrator sharing an eyewitness account.

Explanation:

The authors writes/talks in the first person using words like "I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, ours." "I, me, my, mine" are called first-person singular pronouns. These are pronouns you use when you are stating you did or are doing. "We, us, our, ours" are first person possessive pronouns. This is when you are talking about something and another person are doing. There are also possessive pronouns which are slightly more complicated because they can fall into more than one category of pronouns. Possessive pronouns are used when you or you and more than one person own or are in possession of an object.

"First-person singular pronouns are 'I,' 'me,' 'my,' and 'mine. ' First-person plural pronouns are 'we,' 'us,' 'our,' and 'ours. ' First-person possessive pronouns are 'my,' 'mine,' 'our,' and 'ours. ' First-person subjective pronouns are 'I,' 'we,' 'my,' and 'our."

Not only did the quote come from that website but I would recommend going there for information.

This is the first question I have ever answered, seeing as though I made my account about 10 minutes prior to this, so I hope this helps and that it wasn't too bad.

American revolution, I’m almost positive. The mayflower was way way before and the beginning of the English colonies were way before too. Lincoln gave the speech on the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and that was like 11 before after the constitution so he wouldn’t be talking abt the constitution.
