Indochina is made up of five countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam, to name a few examples. These countries share natural resources that are centered on the Mekong River, which runs from north to south across the middle of the Indochinese peninsula. They are also intimately linked economically, culturally, and historically via their shared history with the Chinese.
