Lars is engaging in vivacious learning as he is engage in doing his task as he observes Don how he does his work in a way that he may be able to obtain or adjust his way or working in order to cope up with the given tasks that is given to him. 

The way the supervisor is giving Don the assignment is referred to as empowerment because this is a way of giving a task to an individual in which he has given a task for Don as he believes he can do well.
