aleksklad [387]

Answer:

according to faber, people don't have leisure time cuz their society is so

<em>fast paced</em> and <em>immediate</em>,

so they're not able to actually sit down and enjoy+analyze literature.

faber believes the term "<em>leisure</em>" refers to being able to digest quality information in a peaceful environment cuz that's what he pictures when he thinks of an intelligent and benign society.

Poach
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

poach, or "to poach" is from the Middle English word "pocchen".

It means bagged, enclosed in a bag, or like a pouch.

The word poaching is a noun and is the illegal practice of trespassing on another person's property to hunt or kill game without permission from the person who owns the land.

Can be used as a verb - he is poaching/he is trespassing, stealing, taking fish or game illegally

Explanation:

I would think that the most common would be to trespass on someone's property to hunt or fish without permission.  (4)

If you are in a part of the world that eats a lot of eggs, then poach is used as a verb to cook  - to poach eggs - poach in a hot liquid but not boiling.

People should not poach wildlife for money.

What might Thomas Jefferson have said to change George Washington's opinion of political
blondinia [14]

Answer: But Thomas Jefferson, who was serving a diplomatic post in France during the Constitutional Convention, believed it was a mistake not to provide for different political parties in the new government. “Men by their constitutions are naturally divided into two parties,’’ he would write in 1824.

In fact, when Washington ran unopposed to win the first presidential election in the nation’s history, in 1789, he chose Jefferson for his Cabinet so it would be inclusive of differing political viewpoints. “I think he had been warned if he didn't have Jefferson in it, then Jefferson might oppose his government,” Randall says.
