Answer:

²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

f ( θ ) = tan θ + sec θ

g ( θ ) = cosθ/1-sinθ

To prove : -

f ( θ ) = g ( θ )

Proof : -

LHS = f ( θ )

RHS = g ( θ )

LHS

= f ( θ )

= tan θ + sec θ

{ Identities : -

tan θ = sin θ/cos θ

sec θ = 1/cos θ }

= sin θ/cos θ + 1/cos θ

= ( sin θ + 1 )/cos θ

= ( 1 + sin θ )/cos θ

Multiply ( 1 - sin θ ) to both numerator and denominator,

= ( 1 + sin θ ) ( 1 - sin θ ) / ( cos θ ) ( 1 - sin θ )

{ ( 1 + sin θ ) ( 1 - sin θ ) is in the form a² - b² Identity,

so,

( 1 + sin θ ) ( 1 - sin θ ) = 1² - sin²θ = 1 - sin²θ

Formula : -

sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

cos²θ = 1 - sin²θ

So,

1 - sin²θ = cos²θ }

= cos²θ / ( cos θ ) ( 1 - sin θ )

{ cos²θ = cos θ . cos θ }

= cos θ . cos θ / ( cos θ ) ( 1 - sin θ )

= cos θ / 1 - sin θ

= RHS

= g ( θ )

Hence proved.

PLS I NEED HELP BRAINLIEST IS UP FOR GRABS
Gwar [14]

Answer:

(a) x > 4   (b) y < -2

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain is referring to the x-values while the range is referring to the y-values.

Since the function (the line) has a circle at the point (4, -2), the function will be exclusive at that coordinate.

The line goes to infinity for the x-values from 4, so you write x > 4 or ∞ > x > 4.

Similarly, the line goes to infinity for the y-values from -2, so you write y < -2 or -∞ < y < -2.

What is the initial value in the function 2x + 3y = 6?
maw [93]
<h2>Explanation:</h2><h2></h2>

The initial value of this function is the y-intercept. We know that the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line is given by:

y=mx+b \\ \\ \\ Where: \\ \\ \\ m:slope \\ \\ b:y-intercept

Writing our equation in slope intercept form:

2x + 3y = 6 \\ \\ \\ \text{Subtract 2x from both sides}: \\ \\ 2x -2x+ 3y = 6-2x \\ \\ 3y=6-2x \\ \\ \\ \text{Divide both sides by 3}: \\ \\ y=\frac{6-2x}{3} \\ \\ y=-\frac{2x}{3}+2

So the initial value is:

b=3
