The similarity between the the DNA and RNA molecules is that both of them are long polymers and they are made up of nucleotides.
The differences between the two molecules are as follows:
1. The sugar components of the DNA molecule are deoxyriboses while the sugar components of the RNA molecules are riboses.
2. The nitrogenous bases in DNA molecule are adenine, guanine, thymine and cytosine while the nitrogenous bases in the DNA molecule are adenine, guanine, uracil and cytosine.
3. The back bone of the DNA molecule is made of the deoxyriboses and phosphate while the back bone of the RNA molecule is made up of riboses and phosphate.

Many plant cells have more than two complete sets of chromosomes in each cell. Explain how this might occur.
otez555 [7]
Polyploidy (more than two complete sets of chromosomes) is not rare among plants. For example, pollen grains may reach female flowers via animals or wind. In some cases, pollen grains from species with 4 complete sets of chromosomes will have 2 sets of chromosomes. Pollen grains may fuse with a female reproductive organ with 1 set of chromosome (so, female plant must have 2 sets of chromosomes). The resulting zygote will have 2 + 1 sets of chromosomes, so the plant will have 3 complete sets of chromosomes.

yan [13]

Answer:

A. Type I is part of innate, nonspecific immunity, while type II is part of adaptive, specific immunity.

Explanation:

Type I interferons: Are produced early on during infection and are responsible for activation of the innate immune response, e.g Natural Killer cells.

Type II interferons: Are produced as part of the innate immune response and act as a link between innate immune response and activation of the adaptive immune response.
