Answer:

There are so many lessons from the Transcendentalists that would greatly benefit us as a society if they were implemented today. Spending time in nature is important for our knowledge of self as well as fostering a greater respect for the environment that would translate into solving climate change

Its main ideals are based around nature, nonconformity and individualism. This movement is very evident in today's society. Its ideas can be found on newspapers, television shows, advertisements. The current conversations concerning equality and freedom are about gender equality and religious freedom.

Transcendentalism still exist today in many different ways. You may not even realize it because it blends and comes so easily to us in our everyday lives. We have found evidence of the influence of transcendentalist ideas in popular songs, commercials, and even video games.

As a group, the transcendentalists led the celebration of the American experiment as one of individualism and self-reliance. They took progressive stands on women's rights, abolition, reform, and education. They criticized government, organized religion, laws, social institutions, and creeping industrialization.

I don't think that the roles of men and women are defined as a whole. Every woman and every man defines their own role, and what they want out of life. We should stop trying to define people in groups when we are all individuals.
