Which of the following tools was most effectively used by Congress to limit the number of immigrants?
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

For the first question, if I remember correctly, it was A, and for the 2nd, D.

Explanation:

From what I remember, Congress used literacy tests to limit the # of immigrants that came to the US, since they likely wouldn't be able to understand American language. And immigrants often suffer from poverty or persecution in their homes, which is why they immigrate.

Enslaved people should be freed and  returned to Africa.

All enslaved people should be freed  immediately.

The Second Great Awakening began around 1800, again among Presbyterians, in the Cane Ridge, Kentucky. In addition to being more vast and complex, this awakening differed from the first in other important aspects. If the previous revival was essentially limited to Presbyterians and congregations, it reached all denominations, especially Baptists and Methodists, who grew rapidly and became the largest Protestant groups in North America. Another difference was geographic and social: while the first awakening occurred in urban areas close to the coast, the second erupted in the so-called "border," the rural region of the midwest with its mobile population and its unstable social organization.

A third difference between the two revivals concerns their theology. While the 18th century movement had a solidly Calvinistic base, with its emphasis on human inability and God's sovereign initiative, the Second Awakening revealed a distinctly Arminian orientation, giving great emphasis to the human being's choice and decision potential. This characteristic, which combined with the young nation's ideals of freedom and individual initiative, found its most eloquent expression in the revivalist Charles G. Finney (1792-1875). Finney believed that the revival could be produced through the use of techniques, called "new measures", which included insistent and emotionally charged appeals, personal advice from the determined and prolonged series of evangelistic meetings. These elements are still present today in a considerable part of world evangelicalism.

How did jefferson’s purchase of lousiana simultaneously contradict his theory of government & also support his idea of repub
VMariaS [17]

To finish the Louisiana Purchase, Jefferson needed to set aside the principles that he upheld. This is because the transaction that he was about to deal with were not states in the constitution. If he waited for amendments, the deal would have failed. However, he received full support from the Americans, and he went through with the purchase deal.

He therefore needed to take quick action since he realized that Spain had also signed a secret treaty to cede with France. This is the reason why the French government threatened America.

Which of the following regions has the largest percentage of Muslims in its population?
seropon [69]

Answer:

B. Northern Africa

Explanation:

Northern Africa is one of the several regions in the world that is dominated by Muslim populations. Almost entirely, the region is composed of people that are following the Islam, with the other religions being almost not represented. Historically, the region had multiple other religions, such as Christianity, Judaism, and local religions, but the over time, the Muslims have suppressed the other religions, forcing the people to convert tot heir religion. Lot of people that followed other religions migrated out of the region, and that is easily noticeable by the rapidly shrinking numbers of followers of other religions. The type of Islam that is dominant in Northern Africa is the Sunni Islam.
