Answer:

<u>Intransitive Verb</u>

Explanation:

Intransitive is a finite verb that does not need an object to make a complete sentence is called an intransitive verb. Examples of Intransitive Verb: A flock of birds is flying over our heads. We laughed so hard that we could not talk for a few minutes.

A transitive verb can take more than one object. Donovan gave his sister a laptop. In this sentence, there is an indirect object, "his sister," and a direct object, "a laptop." However, there is another way to say this same idea using a prepositional phrase. Donovan gave a laptop to his sister.

Alexeev081 [22]

The correct answer is Option d i.e. using textual evidence to support her inference.

This letter is entirely yours, both in the wording and the sentiment, according to the verse above from Sophie's paper on Response to Erik of Sweden

The letter makes clear that one's zeal and love for others cannot be diminished, but we are still disappointed that we are unable to show your Serene Highness the same level of affection. This isn't because we have any doubts about your honour or love; on numerous occasions, we have attested to it in writing and verbally, and we have never before imagined feeling that way about anyone.

The question you provided is incomplete. Below is the complete question;

Read the passage from Sophie’s paper on Response to Erik of Sweden.

Although Queen Elizabeth is polite, she also seems a bit annoyed. For example, she says, "It seems strange for your Serene Highness to write that you understand from your brother and your ambassadors that we have entirely determined not to marry an absent husband; and that we shall give you no certain reply until we shall have seen your person.”

By including the quote, Sophie is

clarifying the overall purpose of the text.

adopting a second-person point of view.

adding implicit information to her conclusion.

using textual evidence to support her inference.

Read the excerpt from Chapter 41 of Moby-D_ I C K. The White Whale swam before him as the monomaniac incarnation of all those ma
lianna [129]

The theme of the novel that this excerpt best address is "Man and the natural world". In other words, how humans can see animals as a terrible monster for their own benefit. In this chapter, in particular, there are some rumors of Moby D. circulating among the whalemen, rumors that tend to put Moby D. as the most terrible monster of them all, capable of maiming and killing anyone, an evil creature (<em>malicious</em>) that will kill if he encounters anyone on his path. Also, Ahab talks about Moby D. as the worst and cruelest monster.

It's important to know that Moby D. is not an ordinary whale, it is very large and strange looking, his whiteness is very particular and the same goes to his jaws that are misshapen. Even if it has these tremendous characteristics its still a whale but in this book it's more like a mystical and fantasy character. It usually hard to find even if it has very clear characteristics.

In the excerpt "<em>monomaniac</em>" means an irrational concern with a single idea or object. We can see this idea reflected on Ahab's behavior as he wants to hunt and kill Moby D. because it would be a symbolic victory against the cruelty of this monster.

1.Even though he had been driving for five hours, Jacob was not (A. inclined, B. coherent, C. nuanced, D. incisive) to rest or t
muminat

1. Inclined

Inclined means to be favorable towards something. In this sentence Jacob is not inclined or not in favor of switching spots with anyone else in the car.

2. incisive

Incisive means cutting (think incision like in surgery). In this case the word biting is the context clue that tells us incisive, or cutting, would be the best fit.
