Josh Bell who is an eighth grader is the narrator of the novel (which is in verse). Josh loves basketball and so does his twin brother/best friend Jordan-JB. In the future they wish to play basketball professionally just like their dad did. Their dad was a famous basketball player back in his day, but he no longer plays due to patellar tendonitis. Things start to get heated when a new girl arrives at school. JB ends up falling for her and that tears apart the brothers' relationship. Many things happen between the two of them including the dad's health gets worse. Many different challenges are faced throughout this novel but in the end you will learn an important lesson
