Yes double blades make it easy to skate in because they are easier to balance on. Hockey skates are made with more ankle support and are made for hockey, figure skates are made so it’s easier to move your ankle and with grips for jumps for figure skating, as for normal ice skates I think they’re just kinda in the middle of the two.
The grips are for landing jumps, beginning skaters probably won’t be doing jumps. the hockey skates give ankle support so your ankle won’t get tried. Once you build up more ankle strength and experience using figure skates will be easier.
