A:Producers capture energy from the sun and

can make food, so they don't need other

organisms.

Only plants can produce their own food by using photosynthesis. The leaves that contain chlorophyll absorb light from the sun and absorb carbon dioxide in the air. They also absorb water too. Carbon dioxide + water gives glucose + oxygen. Glucose is used as food which is needed for things like respiration, growth and movement.

Snowcat [4.5K]

The single-cell organism that does not contain a well-defined nucleus and membrane are called prokaryotes. The genetic information is contained in the nucleoid of the cell.

What is a nucleoid?

Nucleoid is a region in the cytoplasm of the prokaryotic cell that is an irregular-shaped structure that consists of the genetic material of the cell.

The process of the replication and transcription of the DNA and RNA of the prokaryotic cell occurs here and is different from the eukaryotic nucleus by lacking a nuclear membrane.

Therefore, prokaryotic genetic material is contained in the option D. nucleoid of the cell.
