What's the most transformative thing that you can do for your brain today?

Explanation:

If you made any resolutions for the new year, chances are you might find yourself now struggling with them a bit. Studies suggest that only about 8% of folks actually achieve their New Year’s goals. Most give up on them in less than two weeks.

Yet it actually takes a lot longer than that to truly change behavior and create a new habit – 66 days on average by one accounting.

How long it takes a new habit to form can vary widely depending on the behavior, the person, and the circumstances. In Lally’s study, it took anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for people to form a new habit.

Creating a new healthy habit means sticking in there. If you find yourself slipping, you recommit to the promise you made yourself – that’s what resolutions are, after all – and keep moving forward into change.

For about half of us, that change involves getting more exercise. Often, it’s tied in with things like losing weight, improving appearance, and improving physical health.

But what a lot of people don’t realize is that exercise brings major benefits to memory and mood, too, and helps protect your brain against neurodegenerative disease.

In fact, says neuroscientist Wendy Suzuki, exercise is “the most transformative thing that you can do for your brain today.”

If you’re finding it a little harder to get to the gym these days – or get out for your daily walk, bicycle ride, or other physical activity – we think Suzuki’s TED Talk on the matter might give you just the inspiration and motivation you need to keep going. Check it out:

The fluid that moves through the lymphatic vessels is called
nikitadnepr [17]
It is called Interstitial fluid. The Interstitial fluid that is collected by the Lymphatic Vessels. Once fluid enters the lymphatics it's called "Lymph." The lymphatic vessels (or lymph vessels or lymphatics) are thin-walled vessels structured like blood vessels, that carry lymph. As part of the lymphatic system, lymph vessels are complementary to the cardiovascular system. Lymph vessels are lined by endothelial cells, and have a thin layer of smooth muscle, and adventitia that bind the lymph vessels to the surrounding tissue. Lymph vessels are devoted to the propulsion of the lymph from the lymph capillaries, which are mainly concerned with absorption of interstitial fluid from the tissues. Lymph capillaries are slightly larger than their counterpart capillaries of the vascular system. Lymph vessels that carry lymph to a lymph node are called afferent lymph vessels, and those that carry it from a lymph node are called efferent lymph vessels, from where the lymph may travel to another lymph node, may be returned to a vein, or may travel to a larger lymph duct. Lymph ducts drain the lymph into one of the subclavian veins and thus return it to general circulation.

Answers;

-less than 1%

-Thrombopoiesis

-Megakaryoblast

-Thrombopoietin

-Megakaryocyte

-Proplatelets

-Platelets (thrombocytes)

Explanation;

 • Platelets (or thrombocytes) make up less than 1% of formed elements with a concentration between 150,000 and 400,000 per cubic millimeter. The production of platelets is called thrombopoiesis.
 • From the myeloid stem cell, a committed cell called a megakaryoblast is produced. It matures under the influence of thrombopoietin to form a megakaryocyte.
 • Megakaryocytes are easily distinguished both by their large size (about 100 micrometers [μm] in diameter) and their dense, multilobed nucleus. Each megakaryocyte then produces thousands of platelets.
 • The process of how megakaryoctes produce thrombocytes was in question until 2007. Researchers reported that megakaryoctes produce long extension from themselves called proplatelets.
 • While still attached to the megakaryoctye, these proplatelets extreough the blood vessel wall in the red bone marrow. The force from the blood flow "slices" these proplatelets into the fragments we know as platelets (thrombocytes).
