It's good sometimes to think outside of the box and write about the differences between romance and gothic literature but! it is easier to write about action, comedy, etc. It all depends on what you are comfortable with writing about.
1. don't go too deep into detail it bores the reader
2. Don't use words you don't know the meaning to
3. Most importantly, be yourself, don't base your essay off of someone else's essay structure, that's what teachers and college professors want to see.
