The major cause of vascular dementia is known as narrowing and blockage of the small blood vessels inside the brain.

Sickle-cell disease is a single gene disorder where by the mutations in the beta-globin gene leads to formation of deformed haemoglobin molecules called haemoglobin S.

The signs and symptoms found in sickle-cell disease is the sickling of the red blood cells which leads to:

  • premature break down of red cells,
  • anaemia
  • yellowing of eyes and skin (signs of jaundice)
  • Painful episodes can occur when sickled red blood cells, which are stiff and inflexible, get stuck in small blood vessels.

Vascular dementia is a type of dementia that leads to loss of memory.

Vascular dementia occurs in individuals with sickle-cell disease due to narrowing and blockage of the small blood vessels inside the brain by the sickled cells.

The cells in this part of a plant form long, vertical tubes. What is the most
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

The cells present in the stem are part of the xylem and phloem conductive tissues. They are characterized by being elongated and in tubular form because they transport the substances, the xylem transports  water and  inorganic mineral sales that the root absorbs from the soil. The phloem is responsible for transporting substances synthesized in photosynthesis.

Its tubular and elongated shape facilitates the transport of these substances

Due to the short-term environmental change of a drought, much of the soil in an area can no longer support a species of wildflow
Fofino [41]

This change best illustrates the 3rd answer choice, Loss of Habitat.

The plants aren't migrating, but are rather only surviving in areas where there is enough moisture to support life. The wildflowers are not adapting to grow in dryer conditions, and the species is not going extinct, as there are still some areas where the plants can get enough moisture.

Hope this helped!
