Opinions on united states v. fields?
ohaa [14]

The United States v. Fields case ended up on a federal death sentence imposed on Fields for commitig a federal capital offense.

This sentence was made largely on the basis of the opinion of a psychiatrist who stated that he could predict Fields would be a risk to society in the future.

The problem here is that the psychiatrist issued this crucial testimony without doing any testing or offering any objective empirical data whatsoever.

To this day, there's still much debate involving how a Court can determine risk to society or future violence from an individual, in a safe and reliable manner that reaches necessary standards for a case of such magnitude assessing death penalty.

Hope this helps!

Is America an imperialistic power today in what ways is it or isn’t? What examples of recent history can you provide to supposed
mote1985 [20]
This is debatable even among the highest scholars. The United states are not an imperial power in the sense that they occupy and control foreign territory as if they were colonies, not counting wars. They could be understood as an imperialistic force through the political power that they have over numerous other countries worldwide which enables them to control their politics.

The middle eastern situation can be seen as an example of United States imperialism since they rarely leave the state in whose wars they got involved in. Culturally and economically it has almost imperialistic control over many European countries since many of them would not have the power in Europe that they have if they didn't have the support of US behind them. For example, if a country bothered US, they could just get NATO and the UN to help in resolving the problems that they have, which could be interpreted that through such organizations the US can control world politics because of its power.

What was the importance of simla delication?
konstantin123 [22]

Answer:

Ok, so I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about but here it is.

Explanation:

The Simla Deputation managed to convince Lord Minto to create better representation for Muslims within Indian politics – the Indian Councils Act 1909, known as the Morley-Minto or Minto-Morley Reforms, which created non-official Indian majorities in provincial councils
