Answer: Please reword the best you can so you don't get flagged for plagiarism

Explanation: The lines are important because they speak about the lost of many people, especially the women and children that lived in their castle. " Your castle is surpris'd; your wife and babes Savagely slaughter'd." (lines 1-2 of the given act) The speaker of the story would have rather had himself killed than to live with the regret. "on the quarry of these murder'd deer, To add the death of you." (lines 3-4 of the given act)

The choices above given are actually the part of the play Ross to MacDuff.

The lines talk about the lost of many, especially the women and children in their castle. The narrator would rather have himself be killed than to live.

Compare and contrast the Anglo-Saxon culture and values to today’s culture and values.
yan [13]

Answer:

Let us examine the cultural values of the Anglo-Saxons, especially as we can glean them from the epic poem, "Beowulf."

The Anglo-Saxons were then known for their bravery, truthfulness, honor, loyalty/fidelity, discipline and duty, hospital/friendship, perseverance, and industriousness.  The question is, are these cultural values still prevalent today, even among those who claim to be Anglo-Saxons.  The answer is NO.

Today, the cultural values that are prevalent among the Anglo-Saxons are abortion, intrigue, discrimination, infidelity, and profiteering, among others.  The Anglo-Saxons have abandoned truth for shadows.  They marry today and break up their marital vows tomorrow, and remarry unashamedly.  The Anglo-Saxons are now killers of the unborn and defenseless child, without any qualms of conscience.  They even excuse this brutal and inconsiderate murder as the woman's right to freedom.  They have invented condoms without using them.  That is why abortions are still rampant.  The worst is that they want to foist these cultural aberrations on others, willingly and unwillingly.

I think that the majority of Anglo-Saxons today have become self-lovers.  This is why there is high-level hatred, inhospitality towards migrants, and unfriendliness towards others.  Anglo-Saxons are now very dishonorable.  They cannot risk their lives for their neighbors, as Beowulf did.  I can go on and on.

Explanation:

The epic poem titled "Beowulf" offers the best means to learn about the culture and values of the Anglo-Saxons in the past.  This epic poem chronicled the sacrifices made by Beowulf, who travelled from afar to save the lives of the Geats.

Variously, culture has been defined as "a people's way of life."  The guiding principles embedded or practiced in any cultural situation are the cultural values.
