A map is considered as the most important tool of a geographer. As geography is all about the study of a descriptor of the earth and it's relation to mankind. The map helps us to located places on the earth surface. The map gives visual as well as an integrated picture of a particular area. It shows the precise geographical location and the situation or its location in relation to surrounding features. For socio-economic development also map is very important. In short without map without studying geography for geographers is quite impossible.
