An private bill concerns individual people or places . Public bills usually deal with very basic or broad matters such as taxation and other general matters.

Private Bills - applies to a particular individual or group of individuals!
This is unlike public bills which apply within their jurisdiction.
Private laws can grant unique benefits meaning they can give power not available under the general law!
For example:
Relieving someone from a legal responsibility for some allegedly wrongful act...


Public Bills - proposed a law of general application. So compared to the private bills, public bills have less availability of rights because bills through legislation which will eventually become a public law or act!
