Men: A woman may have been abused or tortured as a child and as a result of that, a woman might want to give pay back to who ever looked most like the person who abused them.

Woman: A man could have had a bad past from abuse or seeing a parent die in front of them or something of that sort. Then, they look for weak people to take out their anger on.

At least that's my thinking.

A man may be abused because a woman may have discovered something she does not like and attacks the man. another reason could be that woman may have been abused before and does not want it to happen again, so she feels like she has to abuse a man to protect herself.

a woman may be abused because a man may have witnessed abusing in his home as a young child and he may feel that is what he is supposed to do. another reason a woman may be abused is because the man simply does not care what happens to a woman or women could be abused because they are in some kind of prostitution string

The Eastern Orthodox forbid icons, where the Roman Catholic Church use figures of Mary and saints.

Explanation:

Icons played a significant role in the disagreement between the Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church.
